Rooted in the present moment,
my practice explores temporality and
the irreproducible nature of a single
occurrence.
I work primarily with marker pens, as well as simple wooden tools such as chopsticks dipped in sumi ink.Using these primitive and minimal materials, I create works through an improvisational process without sketches or predetermined plans.
The motifs I draw are not concrete subjects, but arise from my own memories and emotions, the atmosphere of the place, and the flow of time.By drawing lines while placing myself fully in the present moment—without deciding on a final image—I explore the possibilities of temporality and singularity in visual art.Focusing solely on the act of drawing, without concern for the future or the result, evokes a sensation of “being here and now,” a state that resonates with Zen philosophy.
These methods are extremely simple, and their results appear immediately.They reflect the way humanity has expanded creativity throughout history, beginning with primitive and fundamental actions.In contrast, I intentionally incorporate fluorescent colors—artificial, contemporary hues that do not exist in nature—to heighten and emphasize the improvisational nature, creativity, and the primal simplicity of the drawing act itself.
We live in an age overflowing with information, where much of what we see is precisely generated by AI.Behind this convenience, I sense a growing risk that the natural breadth of human creativity may narrow, and that the act of creating from within oneself may be lost.
That is why I want to share the excitement and joy of shaping forms from what emerges internally, rather than merely accepting what is given.
I believe this kind of creative play enriches life, delights others, draws people in, and has the power to gently embrace and transform the world.Through my work, I hope viewers experience the pleasure of free interpretation and discovery, and feel inspired to create something new with their own hands—leading lives filled with creativity.This is the core theme of my artistic practice.
「今」に身を置き、
「時間制」「一回性」の可能性を探っています。
私はマーカーペンや割り箸などの木の棒を墨汁に浸して使用して、シンプルで原始的な道具を用い、下描きや計画を立てない即興的な手法で制作しています。描くモチーフは実在の対象ではなく、私自身の記憶や感情、その場に漂う空気、時間の流れです。
完成像を定めず、「今」に身を置きながら線を引く行為を通して、視覚芸術における〈時間性〉や〈一回性〉の可能性を探っています。未来や結果を意識せず、ただ描くという行為そのものに集中することは、禅の思想にも通じる「今を生きる感覚」を呼び起こすものだと考えています。これらの手法は極めて単純で、結果が即座に現れます。それは人類が長い歴史の中で、シンプルで原始的な行為から創造を広げてきたことに重なります。
また、蛍光色という自然界には存在しない人工的で現代的な色彩をあえて用いることで、即興性や創造性、そして原始的でシンプルな描画行為そのものを、より強く浮かび上がらせています。 現代は情報が溢れ、目に見えるものの多くがAIによって精密に生成される時代です。その便利さの裏側で、人間が本来持つ創造の幅が狭まり、自分自身で創造を生み出す行為が失われていく危うさも感じています。
だからこそ、ただ与えられたものを受け入れるだけではなく、自分の内側から湧き出たもので形をつくり、遊ぶことの面白さや高揚感を多くの人に伝えたいと考えています。それは人生を豊かにし、人を楽しませ、周囲を巻き込みながら、世界を包み込む力があると信じています。
私の作品を通じて、鑑賞者が自由な解釈や発見の喜びを感じ、自らの手で新しい何かを生み出し、創造に満ちた日々を送ってもらえたら嬉しい。それが、私の創作のテーマです。
